Great debut album, down to earth lyrics that everyone can relate to, the best sound to break out of the indie charts this year. Frey is the poet of the moment!!!!!

The Courteeners have acquired a large and devoted following in the North West of England and this following is set to spread nationwide with the imminent UK tour and the impending album, currently being produced at Olympic Studios by Stephen Street of Smiths, Babyshambles and Kaiser Chiefs acclaim.

These rowdy Mancunian indie-rockers, led by the charismatic Liam Fray, caused a stir on their local patch with their riotous live shows before being snapped up by Universal. Production was undertaken by the legendary Stephen Street (The Smiths, Blur, Babyshambles) on The Courteeners' debut ST. JUDE (2008), which neatly combined the quartet's rock 'n' roll swagger with well-crafted songwriting reminiscent of The Kinks' Ray Davies.
