From this album it is clear why he was crowned the King of Pop!
22 May, 2008
No matter what you say about the King of Pop, this album still stands with the most sold copies sold around the world, and basically you can see why. This 25th anniversary edition is just sheer excellence from a man who has inspired the music industry, not only with his amazing dancing ability, but with his outstanding vocal performances. Michael Jackson still leads the way in pop music.

Deluxe 25th anniversary reissue of the biggest selling album of all time, a bona fide phenomenon that instantly transformed Jackson into a global megastar and has since sold over 100 million copies. Featuring no fewer than five top ten UK singles including the no.1 smash 'Billie Jean' - arguably Jackson's greatest ever song - this new version of the album also features remixes by some of today's biggest names in RnB, a previously unreleased track from the original album sessions and a bonus DVD with "digitally enhanced" promo videos including the complete 15min 'Thriller' short film which monopolized the fledgling MTV upon release.
- Rolling Stone (12/11/03, p.98) - Ranked #20 in Rolling Stone's "500 Greatest Albums Of All Time" - "...There was a time when he was truly the King of Pop. This is it..."
Rolling Stone (11/89) - Ranked #7 in Rolling Stone's "100 Best Albums Of The 80s" survey.
Q (1/03, p.56) - Included in Q Magazine's "100 Greatest Albums Ever"
Q (1/00, p.138) - 5 stars out of 5 - "...The music stands undimmed by time....delivers some of the greatest ever pop-soul-dance-whatever...hardly a weak moment, and still no one goes 'aow' quite like Michael Jackson."

Principally recorded at Westlake Audio, Los Angeles, California.
The finest example of perfect disco pop, and a record that should be prescribed to musical snobs and manic depressives. The album is a true ambassador of what pop music can be. Jackson whoops and dances through a suite of unforgettable melodies that should be danced to with a smile on your face. Each track offers at least one musical hook, whether it is the beauty of 'Human Nature' (who can resist the 'dada dada da da da') or the 'whoo whoo' of 'Billie Jean'. It's all too good.
In the spotlight since the age of four, Michael Jackson rose to fame as the lead vocalist for the Jackson Five. In the late 1970s, Jackson embarked on a solo career as a young adult with the Quincy Jones-produced OFF THE WALL. With one hit album under his belt, Jackson proceeded to bring R&B to a whole new audience with his massive THRILLER release--one of the top-selling pop albums of all time--and his innovative videos began to dominate the newly founded MTV network. Although his personal life has served as the ultimate fodder for the tabloids, the self-proclaimed "King of Pop" remains one of the most successful and influential recording stars worldwide.
