Excellent!
30 October, 2008
How can you call this album slow and easy listening? With up-beat tempo tracks such as Worst Case Scenario, Cops & Robbers, Worried About Ray and (the ever jolly) Goodbye Mr. A - will have u dancing and singing along before the first chorus.
This Album is definatly a must have - must listen. Forget the bubble-gum pop and the dull indie scene - Odd pop rocks and these guys sure know how make a good tune!

Following on from the huge success of their singles 'Worried About Ray' and 'Goodbye Mr A', The Hoosiers' debut album 'The Trick To Life' will not disappoint. This is an album filled with upbeat treats, as well as glimpses of a deeper, darker edge. On tracks like 'Run Rabbit Run' and 'A Sadness Runs Through Him', Irwin's soaring, jaw-droppingly powerful vocals lead listeners through a maze of melodic mayhem, with influences ranging from The Cure through to Supertramp, laced with some early Genesis (the bible verse not the band). However, fans of 'Worried About Ray' need fear not, for 'Worst Case Scenario', the somewhat sinister 'Killer', and title track 'The Trick To Life', punctuate the album's uncompromising landscape with literally tens of minutes of rich and compelling music, which will have you bouncing around your bedroom and/or living room.
'The Trick To Life' is the debut album from indie-pop trio The Hoosiers. A collection of indie belters that will please fans of Mika and ELO, this is a debut album that will definitely put a smile on your face. Includes the singles 'Worried About Ray' and 'Goodbye Mr. A'.
Self proclaimed 'uncool' indie popsters hailing from Reading andąStockholm. The Hoosiers smart jaunty pop propelled their debut album THE TRICK TO LIFE to the top spot in the UK album chart and led to a 2008 Brit Award nomination for their "Worried About Ray" single.
